Victoria back into lockdown as at midnight tonight.
Nick Kyrgios is on Centre Court against the world #3 Dominic Thiem tonight, what happens if the match goes beyond midnight?
I tell you what, I wouldn't mind shares in Channel 9 tonight.
Last year when Rafa and Kyrgios squared off on centre court in Round 4 - it rated as the most watched sports event of 2020.
A peak viewing of 3.363 million people in Australia.
What's that? About 1/7 or 1/8 of the total population.
Box office stuff.
It was more popular than anything else, State of Origin, AFL Grand Final - the list goes on.
The other thing is, there's really nothing else on tonight and this is the last hurrah in terms of crowds and a bit of atmosphere @ the Aus Open.
If Kyrgios is to get through tonight, he's not going to have that support throwing him over the line like he did in Round 2
Will Nick get it done tonight?
I really have no idea - I hope he does.
I think their head-to-head is 1-0 to Thiem. He of course was a finalist here last year and then won the US Open in 2020.
So yeah, he's pretty good.
I'm not going to fake to be this great analyst of tennis, so I'll just say I hope Nick wins and I'll be taking Dan Andrews advice to 'get on the beers' during it.
