Well, we beat the All Blacks

Am I getting ahead of myself or did anyone else look for a World Cup 2023 market after last night?

I found one, the Wallabies were $11.

Alright, calm down.

It's looking pretty good but isn't it? Dave Rennie is just bringing together a wonderful mix of youth and experience.

Last night, well it's a funny one, but we saw the emergence of Lachie Swinton on the international scene.

Bit strange to say about a bloke who got a red card in the 34th minute!

But his aggression and dominance in the contact zone is what we need, obviously after last night, it's clear he just needs to be technically more sound and tackle a little lower.

Was he hard done by? By the letter of the law, perhaps not, but you'd think both of the red cards handed out by referee Nic Berry were a bit harsh.

Swinton became the first Wallaby to ever be red carded on debut, ouch! His coach was brilliant in the aftermath, declaring that Swinton had announced himself to the world.

Love that!

Tom Wright scored the first try in the opening minutes on his starting debut, while replacement prop Angus Bell was outstanding in general play and set piece.

You add those young blokes into the mix with others like Liam Wright, Fraser McReight, Harry Wilson, Tate McDermott, Noah Lolesio & Jordan Petaia, you can really start to get a bit fucken excited about the direction of this team.

Haven't seen too much said or written about it, but thought the performance of Hunter Paisami in the 12 jersey last night was excellent also. Strong ball carrying and his decision making in defense was seriously good.

You add all this young brigade in with the experienced old heads and you've got a side that looks capable - without getting ahead of ourselves - of competing with any country, I mean, obviously, we just beat the All Blacks!

What do we do with the 10 jersey? Reece Hodge was fantastic, all things considered, is he the long term option? No, you'd think James O'Connor is the man going forward, but to have someone like Hodge perhaps on your bench and offering that sort of versatility is a bloody good thing.

Oh, I forgot something. The line out = excellent. Brandon Paenga-Amosa hit his mark all night, that was pretty to watch!

$11 for the 2023 World Cup, might be worth a cheeky lobster.
