This'll win on Saturday, Vol 31.

Fair to say I am not buying my dream home anytime soon after Vega One last week.

I couldn't have been more keen on him just prior to the race, it was a funny old run and actually got close in the end but obviously not close enough.

Here's how we're travelling.

Outlay: $2,800

Return: $3,120

Profit: $320

This week we're heading to Brisbane for the return of a favourite.

Doomben Race 5 - The Candy Man - $5.50

If you're looking at the 0's in this guys form guide, that doesn't do him justice.

I thought for sure he would win @ the Gold Coast first up and the ride left a bit to be desired.

He's since gone to Bendigo and finished at the tail of the field in an uninspiring performance, that's being kind.

But back to his favourite track, of one of them at least, 3 wins from 4 starts @ Doomben and I like the engagement of Baylee Nothdurft.

As long as Nothdurft can get him into a nice spot from a tricky-ish barrier, then he should be ready to show an explosive turn of foot in the straight.

Thought the danger would actually be Olmedo dropping back from the Doncaster and carrying the big weight, but what do I know.

The Candy Man to win on Saturday!
