This'll win on Saturday, Vol 18.

Updated: Jan 22

Well we went away from Paradee after she was so kind to us and that proved a little bit silly.

Away Game was gallant in third in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas but I reckon the 1400m proved a bit too far - my bad.

I did a few calculations, this is our 18th instalment of the 'This'll win on Saturday' series and we're sitting @ 5/16 with 1 being scratched.

If you'd had $100 on each selection, you're currently sitting on $1,900 vs your outlay of $1,600 - so a $300 profit or up 18.75% on turnover.

Take that Tom Waterhouse!

Alrighty, on to this week and we're backing something at big odds!

Randwick Race 8 - Quackerjack - $15

You look at the form here and you think, what the fuck am I thinking.

I get it.

But listen to this.

This is a good horse, it ran over an unsuitable trip first up and never travelled and still only beaten 2.6L by Eleven Eleven which came out and won on the Gold Coast last week.

Quackerjack has run around in Group 1 races, some of them he's been competitive, some of them he has not but he is clearly, clearly, the best horse in this race and of course that's why he's carrying the 59kg.

See that, that's how I reckon he'll win on the weekend!

Barrier 10 isn't ideal, but Cradle Mountain is drawn just inside and it should go to the lead and Quackerjack will come across with it and sit outside the leader in the run. If those two can get a couple of cheap sectionals, which I think they will, I reckon Quackerjack will have a big kick in the locker and be very hard to run down.

I went back through the form and Josh Parr has ridden Quackerjack for 4 wins and the Good track @ Randwick and step up in distance on the weekend will suit.

$15 is an excellent price!

Keen!
