So 6th grade rugby is pretty fucken good.
You might have been tucked up in bed last night around 8pm.
Not a bad call, presumably you had a long week and after a few wines you thought you'd catch some early shut eye.
Well, BIG MISTAKE.
Bet you didn't expect to miss an unbelievable game of rugby out at Sylvan Road on Friday night?
Wests played Brothers in the final of 6th grade, at least I think that's what it was.
And it was a belter.
I am not joking, there would have been more than a thousand people, maybe two, there to watch and boy did they get value for their free entry.
Who would have thought that 6th grade rugby would be so god damn entertaining? Seriously, it was epic.
Brothers winning in a seesawing battle, 22-20.
Wests had the opportunity to square it up after a try late in the game, but sadly their goal kicker was hitting them shithouse all night. Poor bloke.
Brothers win and perhaps they kick off what might be an epic weekend for the filth with a further 7 teams engaged in finals over the next 2 days.
That's right, tomorrow @ Ballymore there are 5 finals, Brothers is in every single one of them.
Then on Sunday, their Colts 1 side and Reserve Grade will do battle.
This 6th grade was first class, a try to Brothers stalwart Dallan Murphy put the brethren in front mid-way through the second half, that was despite at one point having only 13 men on the field when Murphy himself and openside flanker Charlie Freney were both sitting in the sin bin.
Cracking game of football and congratulations to The Pig Athletic Club for making 6th grade great again.
What a spectacle!
