The Roosters are paying how much to make the Top 4?

Ahhh it's almost Christmas.

Safe to say most of us are happy to see the back of 2020.

A nice Christmas present might be a ticket with the Roosters making the Top 4 in 2021 @ $1.80.

Can you believe that? $1.80!

I think they are great odds!

It's around this time every year that teams and supporters alike are running around with renewed optimism that their team will be better next year.

Some of those hopes are realised, more often than not, they're not.

In the past decade, the Melbourne Storm and the mighty Roosters have been the mainstays of the competition.

Since 2013, the Roosters have finished first or second in 6 out of 8 seasons.

They missed out on the finals in 2016 altogether, whilst the 4th placed finish in 2020 was probably a bit underwhelming.

In that time, they of course have the 3 premierships, 2013, 2018 & 2019.

Somehow it seems the Roosters might even be stronger again in 2021, the significant losses are Mitch Aubusson who retired after a stellar career. Kyle Flanagan got shown the door and it seems SBW has probably played his last game.

The new faces are limited but the big one will be the bloke who's already had two clubs before playing a game, Joseph Suaalii. Not sure where he lands in 2021 in terms of playing minutes.

I think I get the impression they'll be better in 2021 because they had their fair share of injuries in 2020, if they can be a bit better off in terms of star power sitting on the sidelines next year, then they probably remain alongside the Storm as the benchmark of the competition.

Tedesco at the back, the Morris twins will probably get better again, they seem to age like fine wine.

Luke Keary steering the ship behind a strong pack that includes JWH, Angus Crichton and a returning Victor Radley after knee surgery.

The concern might be the health of skipper Boyd Cordner? That might be one thing they have to manage throughout the year with his ongoing head knocks?

But seriously, $1.80 - ya kidding?

Manly, Wests, Souths Sydney and New Zealand in the first 4 rounds, you'd be forgiven for thinking the Roosters could well be 4 from 4.

That Rabbitohs clash will be an absolute cracker!

$1.80 about the Roosters making the Top 4 next year - Merry Christmas!
