Well, well, well.
Who had the Dragons landing @ 5th on the ladder after 3 rounds of competition?
Probably not too many I wouldn't have thought.
There's a number of games this week in the NRL that look quite straight forward.
Panthers to beat Sea Eagles, Souths to beat Canterbury and then the Storm to outclass the Broncos.
That's the Thursday & Friday games, that multi will pay about $1.23.
I think the value lies with St George this weekend.
$2.90 to beat the Knights.
Admittedly, the aggregate score between the two sides last year was 87-30 to Newcastle, but the Knights weren't exactly overly impressive against the Tigers were they?
Still no Kalyn Ponga and Bradman Best might be out as well?
The Dragons are $2.90 to win, or you can pick your own line and give the Red V say a 12.5 start and still get $1.52.
I think that's sensational value.
Okay, yes, the Dragons have only beaten the Cowboys & Manly, so let's not get too carried away but stranger things have happened.
Ben Hunt is playing good footy, Paul Vaughan is leading the pack well, Zac Lomax is scoring a lot of points and Andrew McCullough is tackling everything he sees.
I like what the Dragons are doing.
The Jack Bird suspension won't help, he's been ousted for 1 game on a contrary conduct charge.
Regardless, the Dragons can spring a surprise here, or if not, at least give the Knights a stiff old test.
I'll be taking the $1.52 for the 12.5 start in all my multis this weekend.
