Round 3 done and dusted and no real surprises with how things went down.
Force beat the Waratahs, we thought that might be the case but the Waratahs led this one 13-0 and looked in complete control.
But they didn't score in a 50 minute stretch from about the 23rd minute through to the 73rd minute - that didn't help things.
Didn't know much about him prior to Friday night, maybe I've just not been paying attention, but the Force #6 Tim Anstee had a pearler - a great break and inside ball for the Force's first try and then he got one of his own.
Andrew Ready got red carded when he tried to re-arrange Hugh Sinclair's face, in this day and age, I can see how that's a red card, but jeez you'd like to be able to let two blokes go toe-to-toe.
The Saturday night game was a belter.
I was fairly well on the beers so I had to go back and re-watch it, but it was sensational viewing.
The Rebels did that thing where they go up in multiples of 3 for the whole night, 24 points on the back of 8 penalties from Matt To'omua.
But aside from a Rebels try, this game had it all.
Great contact from both sides, a red card, a couple of yellow cards, a penalty try & much more.
But it was Ryan Lonergan that stole the show in the last 10 minutes.
The flick ball to Tom Banks for the Brumbies try was outstanding - he of course then followed that up with the match winning goal from 53m on a decent angle - it just snuck over.
Two heart breaking losses for the Rebels in as many weeks - they're playing good footy, albeit they haven't scored a try yet.
This week the Waratahs get a week off - what do you reckon they'll be doing? Will they be getting stuck in at training or in this sort of situation, do you just have a thousand beers and let the hair down?
The Force host the Rebels on Friday night, that'll be a good one - you'd probably have a slight lean to the Rebels.
Then on Saturday Night it's the real blockbuster down in Canberra.
Brumbies vs Reds.
We'll have a full preview later in the week - I'm fucken excited.
