SUPER RUGBY IS HERE

The wait is over for all the rugby degenerates amongst us.

Two games tonight, back-to-back.

If that doesn't scream of grabbing a carton of Fat Pixie's, filling up the old PlayUp account and planting yourself firmly on the couch, then I don't know what does.

Or if you're fortunate enough to be in either Brisbane or Perth - then perhaps getting to the game might be a better idea.

There's still tickets available for the Reds, you can grab them here. I think the Force game might be a 'COVID sell-out' with around 10,000 piling into HBF Park.

For those playing along at home, the Reds vs Waratahs game will finish around 8:30pm AEST, the next game starts @ 8:55pm.

So if you're in Brisbane and you're going to the game, you've either got 25 minutes to make the mad dash home, or, if you've got half a brain you'll just lob up to the Caxton and watch it there.

Alrighty - who wins?

Reds ($1.33) vs Waratahs ($3.30)

What a way to kick off the Super Rugby season!

Queensland Vs New South Wales. It'd almost be worth getting Gus Gould to do one of the pre-game hype speeches where he's standing in between the posts and then they pan the camera out and Puff Daddy's 'Come With Me' is playing in the background.

The Reds have picked a strong side with a couple of surprises. It's a fairly young front row with Taniela Tupou starting from the pine, no doubt he'll come on for 20 minutes or so and make the Waratahs' lives a living hell.

Seru Uru gets s a starting debut and Angus Scott-Young replaces the skipper at blindside flanker.

The backline is farken good!

Hamish Stewart and Jock Campbell will fill the #12 & #15 jerseys respectively with Jordan Petaia out on the wing. What an outstanding backline, it would have been interesting to see what the team would have looked like if Suliasi Vunivalu was available.

In contrast, the Waratahs have picked a fairly inexperienced lineup, they'll be relying on blokes like Angus Bell and Jack Dempsey in the pack to lead the way.

Great to see Izaia Perese getting a run in the #13 jersey - that guy can play and has obviously pleased coached Rob Penney. Jack Maddocks at fullback too might cause the Reds some headaches if he's given any time and space.

The Reds have too much for the Waratahs here, the 'Tahs will improve as the year goes on but the Friday night @ Suncorp recipe here for the Reds with a quality and balanced line up will be too much.

Reds by 16.

Force ($2.70) vs Brumbies ($1.47)

Alright the second game of the double-header.

This is an intriguing one. Their recent trial match was an absolute belter of a game.

I don't think the Force will be the ones that get beaten up again this year, I reckon they'll bring something.

They've bought in a heap of talent with a couple of Argentinians and of course the signing of Tevita Kuridrani who will take on his old club here.

The Brumbies, like every other year have a farken strong pack with names like Slipper, Alaalatoa & Samu - among others.

I think the set piece battle here will be fascinating - that's what I am looking forward to in particular.

I reckon this'll be close, from a betting perspective, I'll take the Force with a 5.5 start @ $1.80 on PlayUp.

But I'll tip the Brumbies in a very close one.
