Get a big niko pen out and put a circle on the calendar.
Sunday May 23rd @ 2pm, the Panthers play the Rabbitohs.
Grand final preview?
I'm sure Craig Bellamy and his men will have something to say about that come the business end of the year.
But this will be vintage rugby league.
Latrell Mitchell will have served his four weeks on the sidelines and presumably both teams will arrive there having not lost another game in the interim.
The Panthers of course won convincingly last night, they play the Sea Eagles @ home next week, before the Sharks - also at home and then a trip up to the Gold Coast.
No problems there you'd think.
While the Bunnies have their own trip to the Gold Coast tonight before a date with the Raiders next week in Canberra.
That might be the danger game.
Oh hang on, then Souths have the Storm again, their second meeting of the year and the Sharks in Round 10 before that blockbuster with the Panthers.
That's a pretty tough run for the Rabbitohs over the next month or so, especially without their superstar fullback.
If they lob up to Apex Oval in Dubbo on the 23rd May to take on the Panthers having not dropped another game prior, then crikey, they will be hard to beat this year.
But what about Penrith, seriously?
They've won about 400 out of their 401 games, unfortunately for their fans, they lost the important one.
What's the capacity of Apex Oval @ Dubbo?
Glad you asked.
I reckon they'll fill it.
Venue change perhaps?
You'd be a brave man to tip against either side right now.
This'll be a ripper.
