Uncle Wayne is going to do it again I reckon.
I think it could be the year of the Bunnies in a big way.
Souths Sydney are $1.85 to make the Top 4.
Looks a nice price to my eye.
Storm, Panthers, Roosters and the Rabbitohs.
Latrell Mitchell will be back and presumably bigger and better than ever, a year - or maybe not quite that long - under the belt at fullback and under the coaching of Wayne Bennett.
Like every team, the Bunnies just need to have a clear run through without too many injuries.
Add Walker, Reynolds and Cook to the spine alongside Latrell and you're cooking with gas right away.
Add that to a pack that boasts Tevita Tatola, Jaydn Su'A and Cameron Murray, plus you've obviously got the best state of origin footballer in the land, Dane Gagai.
You reckon Wayne will be asking Gagai to wear a maroons jersey under his Souths kit this year? He just grows a leg in the QLD uniform!
How does the draw look for the Bunnies?
A tough start to be honest!
Blockbuster in Round 1 - opening night in fact - Souths vs Melbourne.
Then Round 3 they have another one, this time against the Roosters with a game between Manly wedged between those two.
Then they go Bulldogs, Broncos and Tigers to round out the first 6 rounds of the season.
If the Bunnies are 4 from 6, they'll be content, if they're anything better and I reckon they'll be pretty happy with their start.
I just think everything sets up for Latrell Mitchell to go wild next year.
When Greg Inglis was running riot, it was pretty to watch that high fend and strong upper body, I reckon we might see something similar from Mitchell in 2021.
If he's firing, then the Bunnies are serious contenders, $1.85 to make the Top 4 is an excellent bet, let's just hope the injury curse doesn't strike again.
