Saturday Racing Preview

We're a couple of weeks away from the good horses arriving back to the races so there's a lot of off-season gallopers going around this week.

I must admit, I found it tough.

Very tough.

I've found 6 runners that I think we can make some money on for the weekend.

Randwick

COVID ravaged Sydney, yuck.

Fortunately at this stage the races are still going ahead and we've got something to look forward to on Saturday, albeit, a very tricky card of racing.

Not only that, but it's likely to be a Heavy 28 on Saturday with the amount of rain they're predicting, let's hope the races are on.

My best bet is in the 5th in Sydney, you can read about that here.

The only other bet I'll entertain is a nice roughie in the last for the Snowden stable, that's Charretera. 6 placings from 7 starts on the Heavy going, let's hope this blokes sticks his neck out on Saturday at nice each way odds of around $13. He's consistent, he's fit, don't mind him.

Caulfield

Surely Jamie Kah gets the 100 winners today. Surely.

I'm confident she will and my back pocket certainly hopes so as well as I'll be backing her for my only two bets in Melbourne.

First one of those comes up in Race 2, Deep Speed ($2.60). Tricky draw but think she'll push forward and perhaps even lead this field. The query might be the track, think it'll get near enough to good, not that any sting out would be a massive concern, she's only been on it once but I'll be more confident if we're on a good track. Get him home Jamie!

If Jamie doesn't win Race 2 or hasn't got the 100 up by Race 7, I think she's got an excellent chance with Thought of That ($5.50). Likes Caulfield, should go near enough to the lead and the first up run was unlucky and very good when she took a sit on him. Think he's got a nice race in him this horse, keen on he'll run very well today.

Doomben

Like Sydney & Melbourne, just the two bets in Brisbane.

Unfortunately not much value either.

The Costa stable is flying and Axe ($2) has been going very well, think he'll be winning Race 7. Very genuine horse, if we get a Soft track which I think we will probably will, then my confidence only grows.

The other bet is one we made the best of the day on Ipswich Cup Day @ 13 and he ran a very good second, perhaps a touch unlucky but probably wouldn't have beaten Desert Lord to be fair, that's Roman Aureus. Second up, draws well, Cassidy rides, it just looks a good old fashioned bet around $2.50.

Good luck, good punting & gamble responsibly.
