Royal Ipswich the scene of QLD racing today, 20,000 expected and that'll mean a shit tonne of XXXX Gold will be consumed.
Let's find all those wonderful people getting their backside trackside some winners shall we.
Oh and there's some racing down @ Flemington & Rosehill.
Good day of racing @ Ippy. Really good actually when you consider the carnival is over.
Race 5, Amish Boy was scratched and saved for the eyeliner, that'll leave me with Tumbler Ridge ($4.80) after a huge win sitting wide on the track last start. Palladas has been well backed but I think Tumbler Ridge is stronger and the last 50m they might be fighting it out.
Best of the day comes up in Race 6 @ Ipswich, we're backing a horse @ $10, you can read about that here!
The Ipswich Cup is Race 7, backing one @ $21 that will go forward and gets a big weight relief relative to what it's been carrying in recent times, that's Maid of Ore. Bobby El-Issa rides and I reckon he'll be on his bike early and trying to pinch it. Dry track, makes it's own luck and down in the weights, a few big ticks here, give it strength.
Amish Boy ($3.80) saved for the Eyeliner and looks hard to beat. Craig Williams on board who is riding in great form. Amish Boy has been competitive in strong races and despite only winning 1 race in his career, think he gets his chance to make it the 2nd win today.
Decent off-season card @ Flemington, I like a couple.
They've smashed this in the betting but I'll be with the Adelaide visitor, Poysed to Rein. Super impressive last start and gets the services of Jamie Kah. The rail is out @ Flemington, but I don't mind being wide and swooping, that's what this girl will do I reckon. Think its about $3.60 now after a few expert tipsters tipped it up on the Inside Feed Punters Club Podcast earlier in the week.
In Race 5, Kinane has been scratched, I was going to back him each way but I'll default to Degraves who looks supremely well weighted and we're getting $6.50. Taking on the favourite in the race.
Last bet @ Flemington is Curran in Race 7. Goes up in the weights but the last start victory down the straight was strong and this horse just keeps improving. He too has been well backed, we're getting $3.80 now.
Just the 1 bet in Sydney this weekend, I'll take the Waller and J-Mac combo in Race 6 and back Tycoonist. Crying out for a win, just looks to get all the favours here in the run and has also been well backed into around $2.70.
Good luck, good punting & gamble responsibly.
