Cracking day of racing right around the country, Doomben is red hot, Morphetville has some great racing and Flemington and Rosehill have strong cards.
2 Group 1 feature races over 1200m on the same day in different states, the schedule doesn't make much sense, but I'll leave that to people much smarter than me.
Here we go, let's make some bank.
Tough old day in Melbourne, staying right out until Race 8 and backing the top weight in Reykjavik. Goes well Flemington and likes the 1400m, think the $11 they've put up is overs and think he's a lovely each way chance.
Couldn't find much else outside of that in Melbourne, Plaquette ($3.50) might be hard to beat in Race 5 but not overly keen.
Similar sort of story in Sydney this weekend. Big fields have accepted but wet track will likely mean a heap of scratchings.
Lost and Running ($1.50) is a serious horse and will win Race 6, he goes into a couple of all ups on the day to add some value into them.
I could not find anything else in Sydney, the conditions will tell the tale but who knows what the Rosehill track might dish up.
Racing in Brisbane this week is so good, headlined by the Group 1 Doomben 10,000.
First bet will be in Race 4, Hang Man ($3.50) brings some excellent form lines here and should be able to carry the weight and win.
The Candy Man is in the race, which is one of my favourites but surely Hang Man is going better than him this preparation. Bossy on Hang Man is a great, in fact I think Bossy could have a big day in Brisbane on Saturday.
The big one is the 10,000 which I mentioned, all over Eduardo ($1.90) here, he's a new horse in the past 6-12 months and should lead and win this. Any softness in the ground is only a good thing which we should get as well.
In Race 8, Fiesta ($8.50) might be a touch over the odds, it's good the big weight a bad barrier but it looks a nice each chance after four weeks off. Not a big bet but worth a bit each way.
Including an Adelaide preview this week as there is some nice racing down in SA.
In fact, our best of the day comes up in Race 4 @ Morphetville, you can read about that here.
The other one I like at good each odds is in Race 7, that's Hasta La War ($17). Prefer it over 1800m-2000m but good tempo on here should suit over the 1600m. He'll go back and he'll be coming hard late, this is a quality horse and the $17 appeals!
Good luck, good punting & gamble responsibly.
