Philadelphia's year?

Updated: Apr 28

Anyone else thinking the Philadelphia 76'ers are a good shot at winning the Championship or is it just me?

They've obviously not favourites but @ $12 they might be a decent betting proposition.

The Nets are favourite and yes, if they get KD, Kyrie & James Harden all on the floor at the same time, that's going to be tough.

They'll have Deandre Jordan to defend Joel Embiid, he can't stop him but he might be able to contain him a little.

Milwaukee Bucks you say?

Hmmm, maybe.

They just beat the 76'ers in both games of a back-to-back including one blow out but there was no Joel and no Simmons.

If the 76'ers get through the East, it'll probably be a fit and firing Lakers you'd think.

Utah and Phoenix have been good but I don't think they can match it with the Lakers once the King returns.

The other might be the Clippers who seem to have people out every night, although most the league do it seems.

But when fit, the 76'ers just have a lot of the right pieces.

Embiid is arguably the MVP.

Ben Simmons may well get Defensive Player of the Year and Tobias Harris is a worthy inclusion as a BIG 3 conversation.

Then there's Danny Green, he's found some form of late and already has 3 rings in 3 different teams.

Spurs, Raptors & of course Lakers.

Dwight Howard & Seth Curry have been giving good minutes, the veteran George Hill is there and they've got the hustle of Matisse Thybulle.

Steering the ship is of course Doc Rivers.

He's been there and done it before and might be the right guy to take them all the way.

$12 for the Championship?

It's not bad.
