If you're sitting there reading this thinking you've found an awesome site where you can now debate all things politics, you've come to the wrong place.
We like sport, we like beers and we don't mind a punt.
I just wanted to clear that up.
But anyways, I would consider myself apolitical, I am not a staunch supporter of either party.
What does this have to do with sport?
Well not a lot, but did you know you can bet on the QLD State election...?
Now that I have your attention, let's just have a real quick look at the QLD election which takes place this Saturday.
The betting tells us that Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk's going to return to power, and she will seemingly do it pretty easily.
Back in February, which feels like a lifetime ago, Palaszczuk's approval rating within the state was just 29%. So not only does she have the hardest name in the world to spell, but it seemed no one really liked her either.
But now, her approval rating has soared to 57%. What a comeback, almost as good as Tiger's comeback to win The Masters in 2019.
QLD'ers are obviously happy with the Premiers' handling of the coronavirus pandemic, remember she kept the borders shut when Deb Frecklington and the LNP wanted to open up the state?
Whoops! Good call Annastacia!
Recent polling by the Courier Mail suggests Labor also holds a a slender lead on the two party preferred basis, 52 to 48.
The other poll that was conducted by The Australian earlier this month had Palaszczuk with a commanding lead over Frecklington in the 'better Premier' basis. Palaszczuk leads that one 56 to 32. Yikes!
Politics has thrown up some roughies in recent times, you had Trump beating Hillary Clinton in the US election of 2016 and then Scomo rallied to get past Bill Shorten at the most previous Australian election.
That said, I don't think there will be any surprises come Saturday.
$1.28 for the Labor party in QLD, looks a nice bet!
