I was in the stands on Saturday afternoon.
Christ that first half was tough viewing.
I actually befriended the Bulldogs supporters behind us as the boys packed down for their 410th scrum in the first 40 minutes. It was a slow old half of footy.
The standout for the Broncos but?
Herbie Felix Farnworth!
The stats don't lie.
He was outstanding.
Plenty of touches and just the 1 error across his 80 minutes and of course an excellent try assist.
His upper body strength in contact is really good, even the bloke that no one really likes thinks this bloke is a bit of a star.
Does this mean we have to keep an eye on Gus poaching him for the New Zealand Warriors?
Regardless, on this occasion Phil Gould is right.
Oh Herbie, he's still got so much improvement in him.
That was his 24th game for the Broncos and only his 5th win! He probably hasn't even nailed the words to the team song just yet.
Remember Broncos fans, Payne Haas and Matt Lodge to return & of course Kotoni Staggs in a couple of months.
At least we're not the Bulldogs, how's Trent Barrett feeling?
The next month for the Broncos looks mighty tough.
Melbourne in Melbourne, then the Rabbitohs in Sydney, followed by the Panthers @ home and then the Eels again down @ Bankwest.
But, as I always say, in Kevvie we trust.
