Alrighty, week 7 already.
Doesn't time just fly.
No luck with the betting strategies last week, the Broncos kicked it off well for us by not losing by too much but then Souths couldn't shake off the Tigers as much we'd like and the Raiders really shat the bed.
Oh, and the Bulldogs. With a few minutes to go I thought they'd tied it up. Sadly not.
Onwards and upwards, let's rip in to this week.
Thursday night its Penrith and Newcastle.
How good was a crook Kalyn Ponga last week? Seriously, that was pretty cool.
You'd think the Panthers will lose at some stage but I can't see it being this week, I think they'll just continue on their merry way. Api Koroisau and Dylan Edwards might be back as well - fair dinkum.
Knights aren't bad, but Penrith should win here, I reckon it'll be a good game and the Panthers pull away late by say 16 or so.
Righto, Friday night.
Titans lose Tino while the Bunnies lose Latrell. You'd think Souths are too strong but I've got a strange old feeling about this one.
Souths just, by 6.
The other game Friday night is Parramatta and the mighty Broncos.
Brisbane were better last week while the Eels crushed Ricky and his men in Canberra - that was a big win. Broncos get Herbie Farnworth back, that'll help, but probably not enough sadly, Parra probably too strong.
Sharks will beat the Bulldogs on Saturday, Cronulla getting back Shaun Johnson.
Then the Raiders will turn around last week's horror loss and destroy the Cowboys.
Jeez I love Anzac Day rugby league!
Manly vs Wests?
Not sure, Wests really stretched the Bunnies last week and despite the loss will draw some confidence from it you'd think.
But what about Manly! Tommy Turbo returns and they spank the Titans by 36.
Not confident either way there, slight lean to Manly but not surprised if Wests pull a mini surprise for Madge.
The traditional Anzac Day clashes are up after that.
Roosters too good for the Dragons you'd think, that's despite the fact Ben Hunt returns for the Red V. I wouldn't be shocked if St George pulled a surprise here, not by any stretch of the imagination.
Then its Storm & the Warriors down in Melbourne.
Perhaps this is a thing of the past, but the Warriors used to be a bit of a bogey team for the Storm.
Can't see that happening this week, the Storm will be without Ryan Papenhuyzen who is out with an AC injury but still think they're far too good for the Warriors.
In all of that, it's a bloody tough week to find a winner.
Starting Balance = $100
Current Balance = $278
$100 multi: Penrith (-9.5), Cronulla 13+, Raiders 13+ @ $4.76.
