No Tim Horan

Two sleeps until Super Rugby is back - just a little bit excited.

News broke yesterday that Suliasi Vunivalu will miss Friday night's opener against the Waratahs after allegedly getting into a bit of scuffle with a security at a Brisbane pub.

Poor old Suliasi, it's not his fault, he's obviously still in rugby league mode.

All the big team announcements will happen later today and I'll put on a fat multi.

Can't wait.

But before that, I read today that former Wallaby great and now commentator, Tim Horan, thinks that Jordan Petaia should move to fullback.

Ahhhhhhhhh, nup.

The Reds have a fucking good fullback, his name is Jock Campbell.

Tim Horan played 80 more tests for the Wallabies than me and scored 30 more tries, so who am I to tell Tim Horan he's wrong I suppose.

But he is.

In my humble opinion, Jock Campbell was a bit stiff not to be hanging around the Wallabies camp at the end of last year.

Campbell's progression through the QLD Premier Rugby pathway and now his continual improvement in the Reds jersey is a wonderful advertisement for Reds Rugby.

It also sends a great message to the young kids, Jock Campbell spent most his time in second XV rugby @ Southport.

Now not for one moment am I suggesting that Jordan Petaia couldn't play in the #15 jersey or that it wouldn't be the right move for him as an individual, but the bloke goes pretty freaking good at outside centre and the Reds don't need him @ fullback.

So Mr Horan, with utmost respect, I think we're fine with the how it is.

Reds vs Waratahs on Friday night, hfg.
