NFL Draft 2021: Who the f*ck is drafting who?

Updated: Mar 29

It’s that time of year again, the hopes and dreams of college athletes come to fruition. Or go unanswered... on April 29, the NFL will takeover Cleveland and start a multi-day drafting period where the shittest teams from the season before get the first pick of college talent.

And this year is STACKED with talent at QB and WR.

Upwards of 15,000 athletes declare for the draft every year, and only 254 get picked. So, enough of the runaround - who the f*ck is drafting who?

Well, here’s my guess for how the top 10 picks for Round 1 goes - because who really gives a shit what happens after that.

(Draft order subject to change as teams trade picks and players over the next few weeks).

Pick 1, Jacksonville Jaguars:

Trevor Lawrence, QB

Jaguars are red-hot garbage and need to clean up their QB mess. Lawrence is a tough runner and smart passer - will walk into that team, suit up week 1 and try and bring some heat to their offence immediately.

Pick 2, New York Jets:

Zach Wilson, QB

Wilson had a great college season with his accuracy and downfield passing to emerge as the draft class' second-best QB prospect after Lawrence. NY Jets need to move on from Sam Darnold and try something new.

Pick 3, San Francisco 49ers:

Justin Fields, QB

San Fran made moves and traded up from pick 12 to pick 3 chasing a new lively QB. Justin’s football intelligence might just have Jimmy G on the outter. If they don't take Fields here, they will grab Trey Lance, I wouldn't bet on who they take here, its 50/50.

Pick 4, Atlanta Falcons:

Ja’Marr Chase, WR

I don’t think they will stash a QB behind Matt Ryan, so they’ll be looking to boost their wideout corps for Matty Ice to throw dimes to.

Pick 5, Cincinnati Bengals:

Penei Sewell, OT

Getting Joe Burrow another playmaker at wide receiver or tight end will be tempting but upgrading the QB protection is required and the run blocking for Joe Mixon could use a boost.

Pick 6, Miami Dolphins:

DeVonta Smith, WR

The Dolphins need a top wideout for Tua Tagovailoa to target. They’ve moved around the board and ended her at 6 to grab a genuinely freakish athlete in Smith. Check his highlights - unreal.

Pick 7, Detroit Lions:

Jaylen Waddle, WR

Another Alabama WR that will be taken in the first round with catching ability under pressure that’s needed. Jarred Goff will be throwing long dimes to this bloke.

Pick 8, Carolina Panthers:

Trey Lance, QB

This team needs all the help it can get at QB. CMC at running back can’t hold this team up week in week out. If San Fran don’t take Lance at pick 3, Carolina take him here for his superior arm strength. If San Fran take Lance at #3, Carolina will grab Justin Fields.

Pick 9, Denver Broncos:

Mac Jones, QB

Denver’s current QB’s time is fading at the mile high city. They need a refresh at QB and Jones’ football smarts could be what they are looking for. Hopefully Jones likes the high altitude and 60yd field goal attempts.

Pick 10, Dallas Cowboys:

Caleb Farley, CB

Dallas need help on defence and they need it ASAP. Farleys strong coverage skill will be ticking Jerry Jones’ boxes. Could be a genuine game changer type player in a few years.

Enjoy the draft and upcoming season - I'll be bringing you updates and Seattle Seahawks/Russell Wilson-biased content as regularly as possible.

On a side note, if Russell Wilson gets traded out of Seattle I will fight John Schneider (Seahawks GM) to the death.
