Saturday night in Townsville.
It used to the be the Jonathan Thurston & Matt Bowen show.
Jeez they went alright.
Last week we gave the Broncos a real hope against the Titans and they got the job done for us.
What was I thinking at 22-0 after not even 20 minutes?
I actually thought there might be a chance the Broncos got boo'ed off Suncorp Stadium at half-time if the scoreline continued in the direction it was heading.
It was grim.
But then something happened, something clicked.
Jamayne Isaako was sensational and Tyson Gamble vindicated the decision from Kevvie Walters to put him in the #7 jersey.
I like Gamble, he's tough, he doesn't muck around.
Traditionally the Broncos and Cowboys put on a show, but the sides are a bit different now.
Last year they split the season ledger 1-1.
Now the Broncos head up there Saturday night having come off one of the most bizarre games and biggest comebacks in history.
The Cowboys were awful against the Warriors in the first half and then found their mojo but fell short.
So what happens here?
Both teams are capable of a 20 minute lapse, that's when the scoreline can really blow out.
I give the Broncos an excellent chance on Saturday night, at last there is some stability in the side, particularly the halves and with the greatest of respect for Jason Taumalolo, I think the Broncos forward pack is superior.
$2.50 the Broncos are paying to beat the Cowboys, pretty good odds if you ask me, it looks a fairly even contest.
Something I will be backing in this one is the overs in the total points markets. I think 44.5 points is the current line for $1.90, they may well exceed that in the first half.
Could the Broncos get two on the trot?
Next week we have the Sea Eagles, I dare to dream we could go for three.
Then we're talking Top 8, finals, etc.
Might be getting ahead of myself.
