International Racing Feed, Vol 7.

We need to find a vein.

Another blank last week and we join the Boss in the punting doldrums. Coming back with two tonight for the night-owls/sad sacks/drug users who watch racing after midnight.

A small field in the second at Kempton (23:50AEST) and Coole Cody should have enough in the tank to make this race his own. Tamaroc Du Mathan is the best in the race on ratings but if Cody gets out in front and makes it a staying test then he should be too good for the short-priced favourite. He’s $5.50 at time of writing.

A bit over an hour later Cape Gentleman is currently $4.00 in a bigger field and bigger race at (01:00AEST). He’s come over from Ireland which immediately attracts money, but I think he’ll be too good for the rest in the field. He won a good Irish Flat race in a past life and he’s dropping back in trip from his last two starts. This uncomplicated gelding looks the goods.

Back them both individually but glory lies in the double which is available at $27/28. Whether you’re a simple late-night creeper or hard-core smack head, those are numbers to get excited about.
