Don’t dream it’s over

The way tipping has gone recently, a lack of coverage from Facebook may prove merciful.

But if we all gave it up after a few rough weeks we wouldn’t be where we are now. Pathetically scouring the internet for tips on horse races we know nothing about.

Once you’ve quaffed the last of the Will Pike champagne this evening. A strong Handicap at Ascot (00:25AEST) looks the goods for those who stay up late.

A few could win this but two need to be had a go at given their prices.

First, Kapcorse.

He’s run once in two years but that run was in a good race over too short a trip back in November. He travelled well but made a mistake at a crucial jump. He’s trained by one of the UK’s best and is well worth a look at $9.00.

Sub Lieutenant is 13 years old and the outsider of the field at $34 (at time of writing). He’s unsexy, old, and forgotten. Despite all this his last run was a good one – over tonight’s course and distance – and he’s got an apprentice on board taking off weight.

It’s a dreamer’s bet but after the betting month I’ve had, dreaming is all there is.
