17 games in 3 years @ the Broncos.
2 ruptured ACL's on the same knee.
You could imagine the physical and mental toll this has had on Jack Bird.
In 2015, Bird was named the Dally M Rookie of the Year.
In 2016, Bird was of course instrumental in Cronulla winning their first premiership.
He pulled on the NSW jersey 5 times across 2016 & 2017.
But there hasn't been much to cheer about since for Jack Bird.
When Wayne Bennett and the Broncos signed Jack Bird on a big deal, there was a heap of excitement in Brisbane.
Injuries just ruined it all.
He did his ACL, he repaired it, he then did it again in pre-season training.
Bird this week took aim @ the Broncos, suggesting that they gave up caring about him toward the end of his tenure in Brisvegas.
Let's not dive too far into that, but the exciting part for the Dragons is if Anthony Griffin can get Jack Bird fit and firing - he's a serious footballer.
Thanks captain obvious.
Bird is making noise that he wants to play lock for the Dragons, whilst Hook Griffin isn't getting too far ahead of himself.
Hook just wants to get him on the field, the thought might be to play Bird in the back row to limit his dynamic movement a fraction as he continues to build up strength his knee and confidence in his mindset.
Regardless of where he plays, let's just get him on the field.
You can't help but feel for this bloke, I can not imagine the mental toll the setbacks he has had would have taken.
The Dragons may well have picked up the best buy of the off-season if he can get his confidence back and I'll be cheering him on - he's bloody good on his day.
