Dear Mr Thorn

Updated: May 6

Alrighty.

Grand Final time.

Reds vs Brumbies.

We'll have a full preview once the teams drop but surely they get 35,000 or perhaps closer to 40,000 through the gates @ Suncorp on Saturday night.

Could they get even more than that?

Perhaps.

The Reds have been good all year.

Obviously.

Just the 1 loss, that of course came at the hands of the Force in the final round.

Since then, they've had to do some time in Sydney as the COVID outbreak in Perth meant Annastacia Palaszczuk wasn't too keen on getting them back straight away.

That aside, they've had the luxury of the week off.

Rested and ready to go.

The Brumbies met a gallant Force side on Saturday night, I kept thinking the Brumbies were about to pile the points on and those blokes from Perth kept on showing up, particularly in defense.

The Brumbies eventual winners by 12 points.

Now this Saturday night, it'll be a belter.

Obviously, it's a grand final.

We all know what's happened the past few times the Reds & Brumbies have re-acquainted with one another.

They're building quite the rivalry.

I reckon a couple of beers in the afternoon, watch a bit of horse racing, maybe duck out to some club rugby and then hit the Caxton for a few more pre-game nerve settlers.

Get to the ground in time for some pre-game entertainment, let's hope this time around they're finding someone we actually know - no dis-respect to the young blokes that took to the stage last time the Reds played the Brumbies @ Suncorp.

We'll hold off on a tip until we know the sides, the Reds of course without Hunter Paisami.

That's a huge out.

How will their backline look?

Let me help Brad Thorn here.

For me it's got to be McDermott and JOC in the halves - obviously.

Hamish Stewart @ 12 & Josh Flook in the centres. Flook is young and yes I am biased but fark he is good.

Petaia on one wing, I presume Daugunu and Vunivula are both available? One of them to start and the other to bench.

Jock Campbell plays Fullback and Hegarty sits on the bench.

There we go, no need to show up to work today Mr Thorn, I've just done it for you.

Bring it on.
