Best Bets for Australia Day!

Australia Day!

What better way to celebrate than a few thousand beers and a couple of cheeky wagers.

Be warned however, they stack the fields on Australia Day, knowing full well that everyone is going to get shitfaced and make poor investment decisions, so tread carefully!

If you're not on the Inside Feed Punters Club, make sure you join us!

We've found a few winners, let's rip in.

Warwick Farm Race 5 - Miss Bosetti - $5

Best bet of the day!

Really liked the latest trial of this horse, she was ridden that day @ Gosford by Kerrin McEvoy and he rides her here first up for Peter & Paul Snowden.

1000m suits and I reckon McEvoy will be able to either find the rail in front or if they're getting off the inside, he may even elect to sit outside the leader. Plenty of options, already some good money for it and I think they'll be doing well to catch her over the short trip.

Keen!

Caulfield Race 3 - Bacchanalia - $9

Don't like the barrier, I'll say that from the outset, but do like the horse and the bloke riding him. This thing won a recent Kembla barrier trial by 9L and looked good, real good. The second horse has come out and won well as well.

First time the Melbourne way of going but happy to find out how good he is around the $9 quote. Could be anything this horse, might not be the right race today but the price is attractive enough to have an each way play.

Caulfield Race 8 - Dirty Deeds - $4.60

*WARNING*

Bit of a disclaimer here, only backing this fella if the rain comes and the track gets into the Soft or Heavy range. Having said that, doubt it will get to Heavy.

This horse loves a rain effected track and gets J Kah from a good barrier. First up run was good enough, that was a slowly run race and he really had no chance but still ran fairly.

If the rain comes, very keen because that'll also mean they'll be getting off the fence. Double your bet in the wet - let's hope the weather bureau is right!

If we're on a Good track, I'll just be like Jack Johnson - sitting, waiting & wishing, but not betting.

Murray Bridge Race 8 - Viduka - $2.20

Viduka's form is so superior to anything else in the race, he just loves running seconds and thirds is the only concern.

I still remember Instant Celebrity running him down late last year, isn't she a star. This bloke has some ability and surely finds the right race here. Trumpsta the only danger but he's only got the 1 win from 15 starts so wining doesn't come naturally.

If Viduka can run a strong 1400m, which I think it can, they won't get near him.
