Wednesday racing was a non event last week.
The stocking is full from the weekend and we're lining up for a good card of racing today.
4 bets, let's have a crack.
Doomben Race 6 - Skins - $2.60
David Van Dyke has the two favourites in this and the booking of Maloney and the better draw makes me think Skins will get the better of Amiche.
5 starts for 3 wins and 2 other placings - this horse is on the up and has trialled well in preparation for this first up run.
$2.60 or thereabouts - looks about right.
Doomben Race 8 - Clearance Sale - $2.40
This might be the best bet of the day, this horse has some serious ability. Not sure 1350m from barrier 11 is the right recipe first up from a spell but I think he's got enough ability to get away with this one with M Rodd on board.
I reckon we'll get better than the $2.40 currently on offer.
Warwick Farm Race 3 - Master Shuhood - $16
Went off a bit early on this horse two runs back, now he's 4th up and gets to a good trip. I was pretty happy with this last run.
No superstars in this race, he'll show up as a nice each way chance with Campbell Rawiller taking 3kg off his back.
The firmer the track the better for this bloke.
Sandown Race 9 - Pinkham - $4.20
I was with this girl when she ran first up @ Caulfield after one of the best trials you'll ever see. She didn't see out the 1200m and subsequently didn't run great @ Flemington.
Willing to forgive.
1000m here around Sandown suits a lot better and just can't get that trial out of my head from a month or two ago.
She should lead them up and give a nice kick.
Back with our $50 staking plan so we can pull a profit from the day, hopefully.
$20 on Skins all up Clearance Sale @ $6.24
$14 on Pinkham @ $4.20
$4 to win & $8 to place on Master Shuhood @ $16 / $4.20
$4 multi, Skins, Clearance Sale, Pinkham & Master Shuhood @ $420
Good luck and gamble responsibly.
