If you've been following our selections over the past 2 weeks, I hope you're sitting on a fat wallet at the moment - it's been a good run.
If you're not on the Inside Feed Punters Club on Facebook - do yourself a favour.
Anyways, we're staying focused, staying disciplined, staying patient. 2021 is a new year, we're only backing really fucking fast horses.
Pep talk over - let's rip into today.
Warwick Farm Race 4 - Deference - $2.70
Crikey - if you were on Deference last start, it was a tough watch. Held up until maybe the last 75m and flashed late for third. That was his first go in blinkers, they seemed to do the trick, he just had no luck.
The danger might be the stablemate, Damaged. Returns as a gelding and trialled up well. But Deference from barrier 2 looks a good bet, the wet track is no issue, $2.70 appeals nicely!
Bordertown Race 5 - Enki - $4.80
I've had about 3 bets in my life @ Bordertown. Today will be my 4th.
Enki is well weighted here with the claim and forgiving the last start failure where he pulled up lame. This is a pretty thin race, each way odds are very attractive here - hoping the young jock goes forward and makes her own luck nearer to the speed.
Sandown Race 3 - Duke of Neworleans - $1.60
Wowee - this horse won well on debut. 8 lengths was the margin. Not winning any prrizes for tipping this at the price but it might form part of a nice multi.
Couple of things to consider, he had a pretty easy time of it in front and I don't think there were any stars in the opposition. But that said, he did win with a fair bit of authority and probably had more in the locker.
Like it on the big Sandown track here, he'll cop a bit more pressure in front, but so long as he isn't gassed too much, he should be winning. I'll be waiting til race time to have a bet, I reckon bookmakers might risk him a little being only his second career start.
We might have one tomorrow in Brisbane, otherwise I'll be back on Saturday for the full preview of Saturday racing!
Good luck, good punting & gamble responsibly.
